Your Nervous System Remembers Everything Your Mind Tried to Move On From
For high-performing individuals, athletes, and professionals ready to move beyond survival patterns and create lasting change through trauma-informed, nervous system-focused therapy.

You can understand exactly why you respond the way you do and still feel stuck in the same emotional and relational patterns. Many people entering therapy are highly self-aware. They understand the pressure they’ve lived under, the relationships that shaped them, the perfectionism, anxiety, grief, trauma, or identity struggles they carry. Yet despite that insight, their nervous system continues to react as if the threat is still present. That is because trauma is not only cognitive. It is physiological. The body holds experiences the mind may not have fully processed. Until the nervous system feels safe enough to resolve those experiences, patterns often continue repeating beneath the surface through anxiety, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing, disconnection, perfectionism, shutdown, or chronic stress. My work focuses on helping clients create meaningful and lasting change by working with both the mind and body together, not separately.

I’m Eike Daube, LCSW.
I’m a trauma-informed therapist, former Division I and professional athlete, and someone who deeply understands the relationship between performance (personally and professionally), identity, stress, and the nervous system both professionally and personally.
My approach integrates EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, attachment-focused work, and performance psychology to support deeper healing and long-term change.
I work especially well with individuals who appear highly capable on the outside yet internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, emotionally exhausted, or stuck repeating patterns they cannot fully think their way out of.This work is collaborative, direct, and individualized.
There is no one-size-fits-all treatment model. Every person’s nervous system, history, and healing process is different.

Primary Methods:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR is an evidence-based trauma therapy that helps the brain and nervous system process experiences that feel emotionally stuck or unresolved. Rather than endlessly revisiting painful experiences, EMDR helps reduce the emotional intensity and physiological reactivity connected to them.
Somatic Experiencing
Somatic Experiencing focuses on the nervous system and the body’s response to stress and trauma. Together, we work to better understand physical patterns of tension, activation, shutdown, and overwhelm while gradually building the body’s capacity for regulation, safety, and resilience.
Integrative Therapy
I also incorporate Flash Technique, attachment-focused work, mindfulness, parts work, Transcendental Psychology and performance psychology depending on each client’s individual needs and goals.Therapy is tailored to the person in front of me, not forced into a rigid framework.

WHO THIS MAY NOT BE THE BEST FIT FOR
To ensure clients receive the appropriate level of support, I do not currently treat active psychosis, active substance dependence requiring higher levels of care, or individuals in immediate crisis requiring emergency services.

Healing is not about becoming a different person. It is about creating enough safety within yourself that you no longer have to live in constant survival mode.
If you are looking for therapy that works with both the emotional and physiological impact of trauma, stress, and high-operation living, I invite you to reach out.
